The Caucus for Women in Statistics and Data Science (CWS), the Portuguese Statistical Society (SPE), and the American Statistical Association (ASA) proudly announced the launching of the International Day for Women in Statistics and Data Science (IDWSDS) with its first annual celebration event on October 11, 2022.

After the success of the first three events we know that this will be the annual event for the celebration of women statisticians and data scientists around the world. We are grateful to our sponsors, keynote presenters, invited speakers, volunteers, and attendees who made the 2024 conference a great success! Mark your calendar for the 2025 conference which will be held virtually on October 14, 2025 and hosted by CWS. This year’s theme is “Thriving in Your Environment”. As you plan your session, consider what is your environment – your location, sector, areas of application, career phase, or something else! How do you define “thriving” and how do you get the support you need from the statistics and data science community? What more is needed? We value session submissions that connect to the conference theme.
